Municipal leaders from across the state gained a deeper understanding of effective local governance through continuing education courses that Institute of Government faculty and other experts presented at the Georgia Municipal Association's 2022 Annual Convention.
The UGA Parents Leadership Council has awarded the Carl Vinson Institute of Government a generous grant to benefit the Vinson Fellows program. The Vinson Fellows program, which operates every fall and spring semester, matches undergraduates with faculty mentors in the Institute of Government to conduct research benefitting governments and citizens.
A generous $500,000 gift from the University of Georgia Foundation board of trustees to support rural economic development will enable UGA to reach even more communities and provide experiential learning opportunities to more students.
